The subject matter in concern is that our beloved country is in the verse of a terse political war.
It is also in the situation where any kind of "political outbreak" will destroy voter confidence in any form of fair play.
So much tension has brewed since the Opposition Party manage to wrench 5 states out of 15 (including federal territory) from the current reigning government grasp 1 year ago.
Now, it seems as if part of the united line party wants the 5 states back and will resolve to any means possible.
At least that’s what it looks like in the outset.
More and more political scandals have risen since the change of power occurred.
The coffee shops are terming this as "Dirty Politics" or "Oppression of the strong".
Voters are enraged by the underhanded methods being utilized.
Yet no concrete evidence can be produced to indicate the true perpetrator.
Could it be merely coincidence?
Are we just too paranoid?
Yet, it matters not.
The general public is now associating all of these to the federal government as their ploy to take back what was "theirs".
Even their own supporters are questioning if their party is loosing its integrity.
As for me?
I am no supporter for either side.
All I want is a peaceful place where we are able to live in harmony and able to achieve something better than "surviving".
The kind of leadership that is needed for that need not be "good" or "fair".
It only needs to know the concept of "you scratch my back and I will scratch yours".
Mutual benefits.
Or better known as the elusive "Win-Win" situation.
Though simple as that idea might be, it is one of the hardest thing to do.
How does a game that is so large in scale be able to achieve a "Win-Win"?
It will require monumental foresight and strong decisive actions.
A leader of that calibre can't be found.
At least not in a political arena.
We can see it within the private business sectors.
The CEO's and COO's of large enterprise business achieve that kind of balance by looking far into the future and plan for it.
But compared to them, a politician’s life span is short and un-rewarding.
Which is why politicians tend to focus on short-term goals and ignore any consequences that is not obvious in a 10+ year basis.
So can we even put a blame on the current federal leaders for this aspect of political truth?
Some will say yes, there is nothing they can do about it.
It’s no longer in their power to do something "great", only something "good" or maybe even a "not so bad" job.
And I believe most people will accept that answer.
Well, I don't accept it.
From my standpoint, these people are not just "Politicians", there are also of the public.
Are they not part of the citizens of our country?
Are they not eating and drinking from the same well that we all share?
It’s not suppose to be just a job for them.
They are suppose to be able to see things from the publics point of view.
Instead they see themselves as risen above us and become "nobleman" or part of the "aristocrats".
No longer part of the common people.
Holding power corrupts; we all know that, no matter how small that power might be, it will corrupt in proportion of it.
A constant struggle between our dark side occurs every single time we wield power.
Those that is in power today, has been tainted so long that they are covered by the glut that holds them near to the pit fires of hell.
Instead of condemning them, we have to understand the situation.
Bureaucratic establishment has been around so long that people forget that it all started because a leader is needed to guide and make decisions.
It should not separate them from the people.
Because they are PART of the whole and not above it.
If it sounds very near to the concept of communism, that’s because the theory is sound but the implementation of it is just not well thought through.
Caring for the good of the people and helping them achieve a better life together cannot be a bad thing.
The goal is lofty and practical at the same time.
Clearing away the clinks is part of the growing process that is needed for establishing a sound government.
We have had no remarkable breakthrough since the French Democratic movement.
After reading Starship Troopers, I am partially bias towards the "earning" our citizenship thing.
We are in all sense merely civilians living in a land ruled by citizens.
Citizenship means we get to vote and we understand the value of being a citizen properly.
It’s not just something that we get for free because someone else did the hard work.
It sounds hard but it makes a certain sense.
It is the citizens’ responsibility to care for the civilians.
Of course it sounds ideal and its prone to have its own blindspots, but it is something that is built on top of what we know today, it sounds and looks like a move forward.
I am by far not a good political thinker.
I am too optimistic to be a good one.
And I am too practical to even want to be one.
Hence is why the world is in the kind of situation that it is in now.
Those who know enough don't care enough.
Those who care enough don't know enough.
Those who have both don't live long enough to implement it.
